Cooking Pierogi by Maryann DiEdwardo

So since I was a little girl, I have been making pierogies to celebrate holidays.

I love to make prune pierogies because they’re so sweet. But I also like potatoes and onion pierogies because they’re very savory.

The first thing that we do is cook the ingredients on the stove. We add some butter and make the pierogies very very soft so that 1 teaspoon can go inside the dough. We use flour, baking powder, salt and butter; make sure you mix the dough first. We roll it out and then you can cut a small circle; so we have the small circles on the tray, and put flour on the cooking tray or use parchment paper. I would cook these pierogies for a certain amount of time with butter. Thoughtfulness

Let’s see! When you’re cooking recipes, you think about your ancestors or your aunts and uncles from the past. I remember my aunt Mary who always cooked peach pudding and I try to make things with peaches; the other day I made a peach pie.
