My name is Maryann. Experienced in ESL, tutoring, and teaching pre-school, kindergarten, elementary, secondary, and college, I am co-founder of Pasda Studios School of Art. An experienced lead pre-k teacher, I am the author of books and articles about teaching children with metacognition and student-directed active learning including visual, auditory, and tactile. I hold a B.A. Theatre Arts, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA; M.A. English, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA; and Ed.D. Doctor of Education, California Coast University, Santa Ana, CA. I am the recipient of awards for teaching including the Project Aware Service Award, Northampton Community College (ESL conversation), College English Association Award 2016 and UMUC (online teaching) 2017 Stanley J. Drazek Teaching Award.
