Maryann Pasda DiEdwardo Presents Papers for International Conferences in 2017 for NeMLA and CEA

Dear Colleagues:On March 25, I will present a paper on “Metacognition in Hybrid and Distance Learning Composition Classrooms” for the Northeast Modern Language Association Conference in Baltimore; additionally, on

April 1, 2017,

I will present a paper for the College English Association Conference, Hilton Head Island, SC.

My paper for CEA continues my research in the area of Semiotics from my recently published book: American Women Writers, Poetics, and the nature of gender study. In Chapter 11, I argue the significance of the works of Cather, Morrison and Ehrenreich as models for cultural change. Literature is a social text or discourse which dynamically interweaves multiple strands.
